The application deadline was 25 August 2026.
The South African Revenue Service has two current specialist vacancies at its Pretoria head-office environment. The open roles are Internal Investigator III and Specialist: Business Systems (Customs & Excise). Although both positions sit within SARS, they require very different professional backgrounds. The investigation role is suited to experienced candidates from forensic investigations, policing or law who can manage complex misconduct, fraud and corruption matters. The Business Systems role is aimed at experienced analysts who understand both information technology and Customs and Excise processes. Applicants should therefore select the vacancy that directly matches their qualifications and professional experience rather than submitting a generic application.
