The Accountant supports management through accurate financial reporting, forecasting and cost analysis. Core work includes preparing and interpreting management accounts, helping with monthly forecasts and annual business plans, analysing the relationship between production and cost, reviewing pricing and volume variances, maintaining correct cost allocations and supplying reliable financial information to decision-makers. SAP and MS Office skills are important for the role. An Honours qualification and professional study through CIMA, SAICA or SAIPA are listed as desirable.
Geotechnical Observer

This technical role assists the Strata Control Officer with ground-control monitoring and risk reduction. The work includes checking support-installation compliance, mapping geological features, working with mine plans, processing underground GPR scans and borehole scoping, monitoring rock-mass instrumentation and helping with quality checks on support installations. A formal Rock Engineering, Geology or Mining qualification is desirable, while Strata Control Officer and blasting certificates are also listed as advantages. Applicants need computer literacy and must be medically fit for the mining environment.
HRIS Manager – D3

- Experience: Minimum 10 years in a mining HR/Finance environment, including 5 years in HRIS
The HRIS Manager is responsible for the systems and information used by the HR function. The job includes managing HR information processes, supporting Time and Attendance and organisational maintenance functions, developing management reports and dashboards, improving HR-system processes, supporting HR users and coordinating system-related projects. The role also works with data for employment equity, transformation, staffing, performance, training and turnover analysis. A postgraduate qualification in Computer Science is listed as desirable.
What Implats Is Looking For
Across these vacancies, accurate work, safety awareness and the ability to operate within established company procedures are important. The Geotechnical Observer needs practical mining exposure and confidence working with technical monitoring information. The Accountant needs solid management-accounting experience and the ability to turn operational and financial data into useful reports. The HRIS Manager requires much deeper experience because the position combines people-data governance, reporting, systems support and departmental leadership.
