About the Company
FNB is part of FirstRand Group and operates across banking and financial services. These graduate routes place candidates directly into permanent roles while adding monthly development sessions and an action-learning project alongside normal work.
Eligibility
Both programmes are intended for students at the end of relevant university studies and both require strong academic performance. The main choice is academic fit. Candidates from broader quantitative, science and commerce disciplines should review R46834, while engineering, IT and Computer Science candidates with stronger coding interests should also compare R46838.
Responsibilities
FNB expects graduates to complete assigned work accurately, keep information and records current, contribute ideas to team discussions, take part in knowledge-sharing and use formal training opportunities to develop their skills. The engineering stream applies these expectations in teams building and supporting banking technology.
Qualifications
The general graduate programme names a wide range of BSc and Commerce disciplines, while the engineering and technology stream focuses on relevant engineering, IT and Computer Science study. An academic transcript is required for both applications.
Experience
The official adverts focus on final-year and postgraduate applicants and do not set a separate minimum number of years of professional experience. Applicants should therefore make sure their academic record and relevant technical or analytical work are clearly presented.
Skills
Analytical thinking, numerical ability and problem solving are central to both programmes. The engineering and technology route adds a clear requirement for coding aptitude. Planning, accuracy, communication, collaboration and willingness to learn are also reflected in the responsibilities.
Job Benefits
Both routes lead into permanent, full-time roles. Graduates also take part in monthly training and an action-learning project. Neither official vacancy page publishes a salary amount.
