The Commission for Gender Equality is inviting applications for two 24-month internship programmes at its Head Office in Johannesburg. The current intake covers Policy and Research as well as Monitoring and Evaluation, giving suitably qualified graduates an opportunity to build practical experience inside a Chapter 9 institution. Both programmes are structured for candidates who meet the specified academic requirements, are South African citizens and have not previously participated in an internship programme. The roles are particularly useful for graduates interested in research, public institutions, programme monitoring, social policy, statistics and evidence-based reporting. Interns will be responsible for their own transport to the Braamfontein office and will enter into a formal internship agreement for the full programme period.

What You Will Gain
The internships provide two years of structured workplace exposure inside an independent constitutional institution. Depending on the selected programme, interns can build experience in policy research, evidence gathering, programme monitoring, reporting, data interpretation, institutional processes and professional communication. The programmes do not create an obligation for CGE to employ interns permanently after completion.
Application Process
Submit a detailed CV containing the requested personal information together with certified copies of your ID and qualifications. Applications must be emailed to recruitment@cge.org.za.
