The application deadline was 31 August 2026.
Vodacom is accepting applications for its 12-month paid Internship Programme for candidates who will have completed an undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification by the end of 2026. The programme is aimed at early-career applicants who want hands-on experience in a fast-moving digital business and have less than two years of formal corporate work experience after completing their studies. Interns join a structured learning journey intended to build practical skills, professional confidence and exposure to different career paths. The internship also forms part of Vodacom’s early-careers pipeline and can create a route toward future graduate opportunities. Applicants need a strong academic record and should be ready to show learning potential, digital comfort, initiative, teamwork and customer awareness. The programme has 2027 start dates, but applications close during August 2026, so qualifying final-year students and recent graduates should prepare their transcript and CV before beginning the online application.

Qualification Requirements
Applicants should be completing or have completed an undergraduate degree or equivalent by the end of 2026. A minimum 65% aggregate is required for completed or most recent academic results. The standard qualification requirement is a B-degree such as BCom, BSc or BTech at NQF Level 7.
Vodacom also considers a three-year National Diploma at NQF Level 6 in specific technical fields: Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Software Engineering and Information Systems or Information Technology.
Experience and Eligibility
Candidates must have less than two years of work experience in a corporate or formal work environment after completing their studies. The South African internship criteria state South African citizenship by birth for the internship stream. Applicants should review the application carefully if they are applying from another Vodacom market because the wider early-careers page also references eligibility in selected African countries.
What Vodacom Looks For
The programme focuses on potential as well as academic performance. Desired qualities include being eager to learn, comfortable with digital tools and environments, reliable, willing to take initiative and able to contribute as a team member. Developing problem-solving ability, customer awareness, business awareness and visible growth potential are also highlighted.
These qualities are useful indicators for how candidates should prepare their CV. University projects, leadership in student societies, technical projects, internships, part-time work or volunteer activity can be described in terms of initiative, teamwork, problem solving and outcomes rather than simply listing responsibilities.
What the Programme Offers
The 12-month internship provides practical experience inside a digital technology company, exposure to professionals and mentors, opportunities to build future-focused skills and a structured pathway for early-career development. It also serves as one of the pipelines into Vodacom’s Discover Graduate Programme.
Documents to Prepare
Applicants should have a current CV and their most recent academic transcript ready. The recruitment process requires candidates to register, submit the application and attach the academic information requested by the programme.
