National Film and Video Foundation Internship Opportunities 2026
NFVF Internships 2026

Job Description
The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), working together with the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture (DSAC), is recruiting for one of the most significant government-led youth employment projects currently underway in South Africa the Presidential Employment Stimulus Programme (PESP) Phase 6.
This project is focused on the digitisation of historical records held at the National Archives and Records Service of South Africa (NARSSA) in Pretoria. South Africa’s national archives contain decades of irreplaceable historical documents, audio-visual materials, oral histories, and government records. This digitisation project will preserve these records permanently and make them accessible to all South Africans for generations to come.
Over 100 placements are available across a wide range of roles from archivists and IT specialists to scanner operators, administrative officers, and housekeeping staff. This means there is an opportunity here for candidates at many different education levels, from Matric holders to degree graduates.
If you are 35 years or younger, unemployed, and a South African citizen this is your chance to be part of a nationally important project while gaining valuable, CV-building work experience.
