The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture (DSAC) responsible for developing and promoting sport, arts, culture, and heritage across South Africa is recruiting for two positions based in Pretoria.
The department plays a key role in strengthening national identity, social cohesion, and community development through its programmes. These vacancies focus on Parliamentary & Cabinet Support and Security Administration, both critical to the smooth functioning of DSAC operations.

π οΈ Responsibilities
Deputy Director: Parliamentary & Cabinet Support:
- Support executive authority on parliamentary and Cabinet matters.
- Monitor parliamentary activities and legislative developments.
- Prepare Cabinet memoranda and ministerial speeches.
- Draft briefing notes and coordinate government processes.
- Manage logistics between Pretoria and Cape Town during sessions.
Security Administration Officer:
- Manage security registers, access cards, and keys.
- Handle incident reporting and investigations.
- Monitor CCTV systems and security services.
- Conduct inspections and risk assessments.
- Support safety programmes and emergency procedures.
β Qualifications & Education
General Requirements:
- South African citizenship.
- Completion of electronic Z83 application form.
- Relevant qualifications and experience.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and security clearance.
Minimum Education:
- Deputy Director: Diploma/Degree in Public Relations, Public Administration, Media, or Administration.
- Security Officer: Diploma/Degree in Security Management.

- Pretoria (with travel to Cape Town for Deputy Director role)
πΌ Experience & Skills
- Deputy Director: 3β5 years relevant experience + 3 years at Assistant Director level.
- Security Officer: 1β2 years experience in security administration.
Required Skills:
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of government and legislative processes.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Technical skills in security systems and MS Office.
