As a Sales Intern, you will be the face of this exciting brand visiting clients, demonstrating world-class coding and labelling equipment, and helping businesses solve their production challenges. You will receive comprehensive, hands-on sales training from day one, and if you perform well, this internship can open the door to a full-time, permanent sales career.

No prior sales experience is required. MIT will train you. What they need from you is drive, personality, and a hunger to grow.


Key Responsibilities

As a Sales Intern at MIT, your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Client Engagement: Connect with existing and potential clients across your region, building professional relationships that lead to long-term business partnerships
  • Product Demonstrations: Showcase Videojet’s high-tech coding and labelling equipment to clients, explaining how it solves their production and packaging challenges
  • Needs Analysis: Listen to clients, understand their batch and date coding requirements, and recommend the right solutions
  • Sales Support: Assist the sales team with quotes, proposals, and follow-ups to move deals forward
  • CRM Management: Update and maintain client records and sales activity on the company’s CRM system
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and new developments in the FMCG and industrial tech space
  • Travel: Visit clients across your territory as required this is a field-based, on-the-move role
  • After-Hours Availability: Occasionally be available to support client needs or attend industry events outside of regular office hours

Qualifications & Requirements

To be considered for this internship, you need to meet the following:

  • ✅ Minimum qualification of Grade 12 (Matric) a background in business or technical subjects is preferred but not required
  • A valid South African driver’s license this is essential as the role involves travelling to clients
  • ✅ Willingness to travel across your region and occasionally work after hours
  • ✅ Must be computer literate comfortable using MS Word, Excel, and basic CRM tools
  • ✅ Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • ✅ A self-motivated, outgoing personality with a passion for sales and people

Education

The minimum education requirement is a Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate. A background or interest in business, sales, marketing, or technical/engineering subjects will be an advantage. Candidates with a relevant diploma or degree are also welcome to apply but Matric holders with the right attitude and personality are equally encouraged.


Experience

  • No prior sales experience is required
  • MIT and Videojet will provide comprehensive sales training from the moment you join

  • Any background in customer service, retail, or client-facing work will be an added advantage
